Our client, a leading healthcare provider in Saudi Arabia, is seeking a dedicated Specialist in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) to join their esteemed team. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Patient Care: Provide comprehensive care for critically ill pediatric patients, including infants, children, and adolescents, within the PICU setting.
- Clinical Management: Monitor and manage complex cases, including respiratory failure, cardiac issues, and severe infections, ensuring timely and appropriate interventions.
- Emergency Response: Respond to emergency situations, perform life-saving procedures, and stabilize patients as needed.
- Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including pediatricians, surgeons, nurses, and other specialists, to deliver integrated patient care.
- Family Communication: Communicate effectively with patients’ families, providing updates on patient status, treatment plans, and prognoses while offering emotional support.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, including patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Quality Assurance: Adhere to clinical protocols and standards, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Professional Development: Engage in continuous education and training to stay current with advancements in pediatric critical care.
WORKING CONDITION
- Working Hours: 48 hours per week, Rotating Shifts (Day, Afternoon, Night).
- Contract Period: Initial 2-year contract, renewable upon mutual agreement.
- Probation Period: 6 months.
- Family Contract: Includes candidate, spouse, and up to two children.
EDUCATIONAL/PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:
- Medical School Graduation: Must be a graduate of a recognized medical school accredited by the Medical Council of the country of origin.
- Specialty Training: Must have completed specialty training in Pediatrics, with certification from either Tier 2 or Tier 3 qualifications as recognized by the SCFHS.
- Subspecialty: Fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine
- Professional Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience is required for Tier 3 qualifications, and from 0 to 5 years of professional experience post-certification for Tier 2 qualifications..
SALARY AND BENEFITS
- Competitive salary range of SAR 35000 – 50,000, commensurate with qualifications, experience, and clinical/surgical expertise.
