Our client, a prestigious healthcare facility in Saudi Arabia, is seeking a dedicated Specialist General Surgeon to join their surgical team. This role involves working under the supervision of senior consultants, providing comprehensive surgical care to patients.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Surgical Procedures: Assist in performing a wide range of general surgical procedures, including pre-operative planning, intra-operative care, and post-operative management, under the guidance of a supervising consultant.
- Patient Evaluation: Conduct thorough evaluations of patients requiring surgical intervention, including taking medical histories, performing physical examinations, and ordering appropriate diagnostic tests.
- Treatment Planning: Collaborate with supervising consultants to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients, ensuring the highest standard of surgical care.
- Intraoperative Support: Provide intraoperative assistance to the lead surgeon, ensuring patient safety and adherence to best surgical practices.
- Postoperative Care: Participate in the postoperative care of surgical patients, including monitoring recovery, managing complications, and providing follow-up care.
- Medical Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed medical records of all surgical procedures, patient interactions, and care plans, ensuring compliance with hospital policies.
- Patient Communication: Engage in clear and compassionate communication with patients and their families, explaining surgical procedures, risks, and postoperative care requirements.
- Continuous Education: Participate in ongoing education and training, including attending surgical rounds, case reviews, and professional development courses.
WORKING CONDITION
- Working Hours: 48 hours per week, Rotating Shifts (Day, Afternoon, Night).
- Contract Period: Initial 2-year contract, renewable upon mutual agreement.
- Probation Period: 6 months.
- Family Contract: Includes candidate, spouse, and up to two children.
EDUCATIONAL/PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:
- Medical School Graduation: Must be a graduate of a recognized medical school accredited by the Medical Council of the country of origin.
- Specialty Training: Must have completed specialty training in General Surgery, with certification from either Tier 2 or Tier 3 qualifications as recognized by the SCFHS.
- Professional Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience is required for Tier 3 qualifications, and from 0 to 5 years of professional experience post-certification for Tier 2 qualifications..
SALARY AND BENEFITS
- Competitive salary range of SAR 35000 – 50,000, commensurate with qualifications, experience, and clinical/surgical expertise.
