Gastroenterology – ERCP Consultant

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Gastroenterologist with expertise in ERCP to join their prestigious medical facility in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients with gastrointestinal and liver disorders, performing endoscopic procedures, particularly ERCP, and managing patient care both in an inpatient and outpatient setting. The candidate should have a strong track record of providing excellent patient care and be able to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.

DUTIES AND RESPOSIBILITES

1. Diagnose and treat patients with gastrointestinal and liver disorders.
2. Perform endoscopic procedures, particularly ERCP, including diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, such as stone extraction, stent placement, and biopsies.
3. Interpret and communicate test results to patients and other healthcare professionals.
4. Develop and implement patient care plans and provide follow-up care.
5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including surgeons, radiologists, and oncologists, to provide comprehensive patient care.
6. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, including clinical research, to enhance patient care and outcomes.
7. Provide education and counseling to patients and their families about their medical conditions, treatment options, and lifestyle changes.
8. Maintain accurate and complete medical records, including electronic health records (EHRs).
9. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
10. Participate in continuing education programs and maintain professional certifications and licenses.

WORKING CONDITION

• The working hours are 48 hours per week.
• The candidate will work 5-6 days per week.
• The shifts are straight, and will involve both morning and afternoon shifts.
• The contract period is one year, and it is renewable.
• The candidate may bring their spouse and up to two children, as this is a family contract.
• On-call duties will be divided among the consultants.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

1. Primary Medical Qualifications: Doctor of Medicine (MD); Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS); Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) or Equivalent from recognized by the Medical Council of the country of origin.
2. Training/Residency: completion of residency training in Internal Medicine
3. Fellowship: Gastroenterology / ERCP
4. Clinical Experience: Recent 3 years’ experience as consultant level in home country and mentioned in CV OR 5 years’ experience as Specialists in specialty field
5. License: Active DHA License or DHA Eligibility Letter is required

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• Proficiency in English is mandatory.
• The candidate should be between 40 to 50 years old.
• The joining date should be within a timeframe of 3 to 4 months.

SALARY AND BENEFITS

SALARY

• The gross monthly salary offered is between 55,000 and 60,000 AED and varies depending on qualifications, years of experience, and clinical privileges. The gross salary includes the basic salary, housing, and transportation.
• Eligible candidates may be entitled to an incentive plan.
