Our client, a prestigious private hospital in Riyadh, is renowned for its commitment to delivering exceptional healthcare services. They are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Spinal Surgeon to join their esteemed team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Diagnose and manage patients with a wide range of spinal conditions, including degenerative diseases, spinal deformities, trauma, tumors, and infections.
- Perform complex spinal surgeries, such as spinal fusion, disc replacement, laminectomy, and minimally invasive spinal procedures.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, coordinating with neurologists, orthopedic surgeons, physiotherapists, and other specialists.
- Provide expert consultation and second opinions on complex spinal cases.
- Oversee preoperative and postoperative care, ensuring optimal patient outcomes and recovery.
- Utilize advanced imaging techniques and technologies for accurate diagnosis and surgical planning.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and collaborate with other specialists to deliver comprehensive care.
- Supervise and mentor junior doctors, surgical residents, and medical students in spinal surgery.
- Engage in clinical research to advance knowledge in spinal surgery, publishing findings in peer-reviewed journals.
- Present research and case studies at national and international medical conferences.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in spinal surgery techniques, tools, and technologies.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and protocols within the department.
- Participate in the hospital’s quality improvement initiatives, focusing on patient safety and surgical outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, surgical procedures, and outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in educational programs and workshops for healthcare professionals, contributing to the training of the next generation of spinal surgeons.
WORKING CONDITION
- Working Hours: 48 hours per week, with flexible straight shifts (daytime and afternoon).
- Contract Period: Initial 2-year contract, renewable upon mutual agreement.
- Probation Period: 6 months.
- Family Contract: Includes candidate, spouse, and up to two children.
EDUCATIONAL/PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:
- Medical School Graduation: Must be a graduate of a recognized medical school accredited by the Medical Council of the country of origin.
- Specialty Training: Must have successfully completed specialty training in in Orthopedic Surgery or Neurosurgery, with certification from either Tier 1 or Tier 2 qualifications as recognized by the SCFHS.
- Subspecialty: Fellowship training in Spinal Surgery from a recognized institution.
- Professional Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience is required for Tier 1 qualifications, and at least 5 years of professional experience post-certification for Tier 2 qualifications.
SALARY AND BENEFITS
- Competitive salary range of SAR 55,000 – 85,000, commensurate with qualifications, experience, and clinical/surgical expertise.
