Our client, a prestigious private hospital in Riyadh, is renowned for its commitment to delivering exceptional healthcare services. They are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Pediatric Intensive Care Unit to join their esteemed team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide expert care for critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU, including those with severe respiratory, cardiovascular, neurological, and multi-organ system failures.
- Perform comprehensive assessments, including physical examinations, diagnostic tests, and monitoring of vital signs and critical parameters.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including pharmacological, surgical, and supportive interventions, and manage complex therapeutic protocols.
- Lead and coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team, including pediatricians, intensivists, surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Oversee the management of life-support systems, such as mechanical ventilation, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), and continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT).
- Participate in daily rounds, discussing patient progress, treatment plans, and modifications with the care team and families.
- Stay current with advancements in pediatric critical care, incorporating new research findings and treatment modalities into clinical practice.
- Engage in clinical research related to pediatric critical care, contributing to academic publications and presentations.
- Provide education and training to medical students, residents, and other healthcare professionals in the field of pediatric intensive care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, documenting patient assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and outcomes.
- Participate in hospital committees and quality improvement initiatives to enhance PICU services and patient care.
- Act as a liaison with external organizations and support groups to ensure comprehensive care and support for patients and their families.
- Provide leadership in community health initiatives related to pediatric critical care, including awareness campaigns and educational programs.
WORKING CONDITION
- Working Hours: 48 hours per week, with flexible straight shifts (daytime and night).
- Contract Period: Initial 2-year contract, renewable upon mutual agreement.
- Probation Period: 6 months.
- Family Contract: Includes candidate, spouse, and up to two children.
EDUCATIONAL/PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:
- Medical School Graduation: Must be a graduate of a recognized medical school accredited by the Medical Council of the country of origin.
- Specialty Training: Must have successfully completed specialty training in Pediatrics, with certification from either Tier 1 or Tier 2 qualifications as recognized by the SCFHS.
- Subspecialty: Fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care
- Professional Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience is required for Tier 1 qualifications, and at least 5 years of professional experience post-certification for Tier 2 qualifications.
SALARY AND BENEFITS
- Competitive salary range of SAR 55,000 – 75,000, commensurate with qualifications, experience, and clinical/surgical expertise.
