Our client, a prestigious private hospital in Riyadh, is renowned for its commitment to delivering exceptional healthcare services. They are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Western-trained Consultant Ophthalmologist Surgeon to join their esteemed team.
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform comprehensive eye examinations to assess vision and detect eye diseases and disorders.
  • Diagnose and treat various eye conditions, including refractive errors, cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy.
  • Conduct specialized tests and procedures, such as visual field tests, OCT scans, and fluorescein angiography, to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Perform surgical procedures, such as cataract surgery, LASIK, and retinal surgeries, to improve or restore vision.
  • Prescribe medications, eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other treatments to manage eye conditions and improve visual acuity.
  • Provide patient education on eye health, preventive measures, and treatment options.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including optometrists, ophthalmic technicians, and primary care physicians, to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Stay updated with advancements in ophthalmology through continuing medical education, research, and participation in professional conferences and workshops.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, documentation, and patient charts in compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.

WORKING CONDITION

  • Working Hours: 48 hours per week, with flexible straight shifts (daytime and afternoon).
  • Contract Period: Initial 2-year contract, renewable upon mutual agreement.
  • Probation Period: 6 months.
  • Family Contract: Includes candidate, spouse, and up to two children.

EDUCATIONAL/PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Graduation from a recognized medical school accredited by the Medical Council of the country of origin.
  2. Certification by the American Board, Canadian Board, or CCT or CCST from the UK in Ophthalmology
  3. Minimum of 3 years of post-certification experience.

SALARY AND BENEFITS

  • Competitive salary range of SAR 60000 – 75,000, commensurate with qualifications, experience, and clinical/surgical expertise.
  • Housing or housing allowance provided.
  • Transportation or transportation allowance provided.
  • Child education allowance covering up to two children aged 6 to 18 (if available and within Riyadh).
  • Annual air tickets for employee and authorized dependents.
