Our client, a prestigious private hospital in Riyadh, is renowned for its commitment to delivering exceptional healthcare services. They are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Ophthalmologist to join their esteemed team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform comprehensive eye examinations to assess vision and detect eye diseases and disorders.
- Diagnose and treat various eye conditions, including refractive errors, cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy.
- Conduct specialized tests and procedures, such as visual field tests, OCT scans, and fluorescein angiography, to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Perform surgical procedures, such as cataract surgery, LASIK, and retinal surgeries, to improve or restore vision.
- Prescribe medications, eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other treatments to manage eye conditions and improve visual acuity.
- Provide patient education on eye health, preventive measures, and treatment options.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including optometrists, ophthalmic technicians, and primary care physicians, to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Stay updated with advancements in ophthalmology through continuing medical education, research, and participation in professional conferences and workshops.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, documentation, and patient charts in compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
WORKING CONDITION
- Working Hours: 48 hours per week, with flexible straight shifts (daytime and afternoon).
- Contract Period: Initial 2-year contract, renewable upon mutual agreement.
- Probation Period: 6 months.
- Family Contract: Includes candidate, spouse, and up to two children.
EDUCATIONAL/PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:
- Medical School Graduation: Must be a graduate of a recognized medical school accredited by the Medical Council of the country of origin.
- Specialty Training: Must have successfully completed specialty training in Anesthesiology, with certification from either Tier 1 or Tier 2 qualifications as recognized by the SCFHS.
- Subspecialty: Any subspecialty qualification is considered an added advantage.
- Professional Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience is required for Tier 1 qualifications, and at least 5 years of professional experience post-certification for Tier 2 qualifications.
SALARY AND BENEFITS
- Competitive salary range of SAR 55,000 – 75,000, commensurate with qualifications, experience, and clinical/surgical expertise.
