Our client, a prestigious private hospital in Riyadh, is renowned for its commitment to delivering exceptional healthcare services. They are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to join their esteemed team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide comprehensive care for critically ill patients in the ICU, including diagnosis, treatment, and continuous monitoring.
- Perform advanced medical procedures, such as intubation, central line placement, and mechanical ventilation management.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments, diagnostic results, and clinical guidelines.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and other specialists, to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
- Monitor and adjust life-support equipment and medications to optimize patient outcomes.
- Conduct daily rounds, assess patient progress, and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
- Communicate effectively with patients’ families, providing updates on condition, treatment options, and prognosis.
- Participate in ICU-related research, quality improvement projects, and continuing education to stay current with advancements in critical care medicine.
- Maintain detailed and accurate medical records, ensuring all patient information is documented in compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior medical staff, including residents and fellows, to foster a culture of excellence in critical care.
WORKING CONDITION
- Working Hours: 48 hours per week, with flexible straight shifts (daytime and night).
- Contract Period: Initial 2-year contract, renewable upon mutual agreement.
- Probation Period: 6 months.
- Family Contract: Includes candidate, spouse, and up to two children.
EDUCATIONAL/PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:
- Medical School Graduation: Must be a graduate of a recognized medical school accredited by the Medical Council of the country of origin.
- Specialty Training: Must have successfully completed specialty training in Internal Medicine, with certification from either Tier 1 or Tier 2 qualifications as recognized by the SCFHS.
- Subspecialty: Fellowship in Critical Care Medicine
- Professional Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience is required for Tier 1 qualifications, and at least 5 years of professional experience post-certification for Tier 2 qualifications.
SALARY AND BENEFITS
- Competitive salary range of SAR 55,000 – 75,000, commensurate with qualifications, experience, and clinical/surgical expertise.
