Our client, a prestigious private hospital in Riyadh, is renowned for its commitment to delivering exceptional healthcare services. They are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Clinical Pathologist to join their esteemed team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee and interpret a wide range of laboratory tests, including hematology, biochemistry, microbiology, immunology, and molecular pathology.
- Provide expert consultation on test results to physicians and other healthcare providers, aiding in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
- Perform microscopic examination of tissues, cells, and other specimens to diagnose diseases such as cancer, infections, and genetic disorders.
- Ensure the accuracy, reliability, and timeliness of laboratory test results, implementing quality control measures and standard operating procedures.
- Lead and supervise laboratory staff, including medical technologists, technicians, and support personnel, ensuring adherence to best practices and safety protocols.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss complex cases and collaborate on patient care plans.
- Develop and implement laboratory protocols and guidelines, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
- Engage in clinical research, contributing to advancements in diagnostic techniques, laboratory medicine, and pathology.
- Stay updated on the latest developments in clinical pathology, incorporating new methodologies and technologies into the laboratory’s operations.
- Provide education and training to medical students, residents, and laboratory staff, fostering a learning environment within the department.
- Manage laboratory resources, including equipment, reagents, and supplies, to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.
- Participate in the hospital’s quality improvement initiatives, focusing on enhancing laboratory services and patient outcomes.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of a safe and effective laboratory environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of laboratory findings, consultations, and reports.
- Act as a liaison between the laboratory and other clinical departments, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
- Ensure the confidentiality and ethical handling of patient information and laboratory results.
WORKING CONDITION
- Working Hours: 48 hours per week, with flexible straight shifts (daytime and afternoon).
- Contract Period: Initial 2-year contract, renewable upon mutual agreement.
- Probation Period: 6 months.
- Family Contract: Includes candidate, spouse, and up to two children.
EDUCATIONAL/PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:
- Medical School Graduation: Must be a graduate of a recognized medical school accredited by the Medical Council of the country of origin.
- Specialty Training: Must have successfully completed specialty training in Clinical Pathology, with certification from either Tier 1 or Tier 2 qualifications as recognized by the SCFHS.
- Subspecialty: Any subspecialty qualification is considered an added advantage.
- Professional Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience is required for Tier 1 qualifications, and at least 5 years of professional experience post-certification for Tier 2 qualifications.
SALARY AND BENEFITS
- Competitive salary range of SAR 55,000 – 75,000, commensurate with qualifications, experience, and clinical/surgical expertise.
